citizens2022committee (c22c) has been established as a ‘not for profit’ completely independent organisation, to provide an ongoing voice to ALL ADULT UK CITIZENS IN ENGLAND, NORTHERN IRELAND, SCOTLAND & WALES and take appropriate action to enhance the democratic process. c22c has no allegiance or alignment to any Political Party, Religion or Group. Its aim is to bring support to and achieve improvement in Government, in the best interests of all citizens and the future prosperity and well-being of the United Kingdom, in what is an increasingly fast moving and competitive world. Let it be clear to everyone, that it has been and always will be the people of our nation that put the ‘Great’ in Britain, all 68 million of us currently (including 13 million minors, those under the age of Legal Responsibility), not any individual, group of people, or Political party.
The Internet brings information to us at break-neck speed; a decision made in the morning can be clearly wrong by the afternoon and it has been available to both Government and the public for the last 30 years. In the Internet, WE (the Citizens) have a tool not previously available to our predecessors – enabling collective unity, speed and power. In order to prosper as a Country WE need to be ahead of the competition and better placed at all times. There is a dramatic difference between ‘intention’ and ‘attention’. (See Purpose)

WE NEED AND MUST HAVE BETTER.

As clearly shown in recent times, Government is not listening to us. It has had every opportunity in the last 100 years to reach out on its own accord to all Citizens but has failed to do so properly. It is showing itself as being outdated, not best suited for purpose and sadly lacking in the areas of achievement, performance, efficiency, governance, planning, policy making, implementation, reliability, transparency and accountability. We can no longer trust Government to get it right by themselves. Governments wheels turn too slowly to achieve success. (See Justification)

WE the people (the Citizens of the UK) collectively possess the monopoly in expertise, understanding and vision. There would be no UK without us.

Recent years have revealed the errant ways of our system and Government. As a result WE are living in increasingly serious and difficult times, because of this situation it’s going to be tough for a long time unless WE make outstanding progress together, or get very lucky. However it must not be left to chance. Reflect on OUR ANCESTORS’ struggles through the ages and recognise the need to have a greater say. (See History)
